Glad they never pulled the trigger on that 1974! I guess that the approval guys were like try again change this change that they could not make it look good!:cautious:Now the 1975 one I like but still glade they waited till 78.
I am also glad they didn't go forward with that Shorthorn, can't believe the styling on that thing. Reminds me of when they let Homer Simpson design a car.

Went and looked at the ‘shorthorn’ pic. Kind of like the girl you went on a blind date with that you hope none of your friends see you with.

And this thing, body-wise (to me) was identical to the same era Mazda Rotary Power pickups, but the Mazda at least had cool flared fenders and bedside quarters. Similarly akin to the foxbody Mustangs and the same era Mercury Capri.

I'm not sure what you guys are referring to as the Shorthorn that you didn't like, because the Shorthorn trucks were very, very similar to the 78-79 production rigs.

Went back and looked at the article at the pic of the ‘potential’ 74 and equated THAT pic with being an iteration of the EB. Realized that it had zero to do with the 2nd Gen.
mea culpa.
