I have a 73 with a 3.5 inch lift that flexes like crazy! I'm pretty pleased with it.
I had to do some extensive cutting on both the front and rear inner fenders for it to get full articulation. I also had to REALLY trim the front of my rear flares because the 33 inch tires would flex all the way into the wells and catch an break the front of the rear flares. For my 73 I would need to go to a taller lift for 35's to work properly.

If you not planning to wheel it then 35's will fit but you too will have to perform some extensive inner fender timming.

BY the way THAT looks GREAT!! Congrats!

I figured I wouldn't be able to get away with this if I was planning to use this as a crawler. I'm building this one as more of a street/hunting vehicle. I have other toys for crawling and I can't bring myself to beat this one up that much. I'm just going to do some minor cutting and add some larger bump stops. Should be just fine for what I'm using it for.

I put 35s with 18 inch wheels with a WH 3.5 and a 2 inch body. Front drivers side barely rubs at full tilt. Also if your mounts haven't been replaced you might consider replacing as they are probably shot anyways and are fairly easy/cheap.
