302 Flywheel imbalance

You can buy both and try them. Put the flywheel on and support the engine with a block of wood on a floor jack. Start and run the engine. If it is smooth at idle and as you rev it you are fine. If it is incorrect you will be able to detect it.

No. It should be different.
By '91 even the t-birds had gone to the 50oz imbalance, while ALL 5.8W's (no matter what the original application) remained 28oz.
So you have to source a truck flywheel (to get the 164 teeth) from a 5.0 engine.

I had it backwards, i thought all 5.8 engines were 50 oz along with 5.0, and only the old 302s (stock 76 bronco) were 28oz.
