I purchased a new flywheel tonight from Advanced Auto. They gave me a 1" thick flywheel. My old flywheel is approximately 1.25" thick, from an 1989 or possibly a 1994 F350. Advanced couldn't give me a warm fuzzy on whether or not this flywheel will work. They also couldn't tell me the imbalance. I searched Summit's web page for flywheels using "1 piece" for query and I received a 50 oz flywheel in return. What!
Did Advanced give me a 50 oz flywheel? Any clue? The Advanced web page states that my new flywheel is equal to an E8TZ-6375-c but I cant find anything on the net regard imbalance for this. Furthrmore, is thinner ok and why does Summit give 1 vs 2 piece seals as a query option?
thanks in advance.
