351w/zf flywheel questions

I purchased a new flywheel tonight from Advanced Auto. They gave me a 1" thick flywheel. My old flywheel is approximately 1.25" thick, from an 1989 or possibly a 1994 F350. Advanced couldn't give me a warm fuzzy on whether or not this flywheel will work. They also couldn't tell me the imbalance. I searched Summit's web page for flywheels using "1 piece" for query and I received a 50 oz flywheel in return. What!

Did Advanced give me a 50 oz flywheel? Any clue? The Advanced web page states that my new flywheel is equal to an E8TZ-6375-c but I cant find anything on the net regard imbalance for this. Furthrmore, is thinner ok and why does Summit give 1 vs 2 piece seals as a query option?

thanks in advance.

I have one I can check if you want. It came off my 96 F350 5.8 motor so it is the right imbalance and should be from a ZF tranny. Just let me know what measurements you want.

I have the FMS 351W crate engine (M-6007-S58) that came with a truck flywheel that I plan on using for my ZF. The flywheel is about 1.25" thick and the Ford part number on it is: F4TR-8380-AA

I have a flywheel off a 351W ford racing crate motor. It's brand new, I went with an automatic. Let me know if you are interested in it.

Thanks guys

Bronx, what kind? Part number? I need a 164 tooth, 11 inch, 28 oz, and I would like it to be 1.25 thick to avoid any potential problems.

I did some research today. Lots of different information out there. This is what I believe to be true,
1) 351w cranks 83 to 97 are interchangable. All are 28 oz.
2) 351w flywheels 88 to 93, and 94 to 97, are interchangable. I do not know why they changed in 94.
3) oil pans 88 to 97 are interchangable.
4) 351w's 84 and up are one piece rear main oil seals.

Still no logic behind recieving 50oz and 2 piece seals as data query options/returns at the summit and advanced auto web sites.
