For the 35th they had trail runs each day of different difficulty level. Lots of the hardcore guys just went to the Hammers each day. Wednesday was out in the local mountains. Thursday was a trip to the Calico Mountains around Barstow. Friday was the official run on either Sledge or Jack hammer or just cruising around the dry lake. Saturday was another day on nearby trails with everyone gathering for the big picture. Big BBQ and raffle was on Saturday too. Everyone packed up and left on Sunday for home or Moab. I imagine it'll be similar for the 40th. My goal is to run at least one of the Hammers.

That bulldog that Eric emailed us about isn't a bdd deal. If I can sell my other truck I may just get one of those (unless I find one to borrow)

If you buy let me know. Eric seems to think we might get a deal if we both go in and tell em it is a package deal.

Renting is out. $50 /day 45 miles per day with some places!

As for the trails and their hardness. It's going to be everything from senic to the Hammers (and if you don't know about the Hammers we'll have YOU lead the pack) ;D :'( We've been working on lining up trails for several months now. The first of April is another outing for trail preruns. Darn the luck I must go out again ;D
I did miss the Calico/Eastwood run this weekend with the SoCal guys. I was working on Bronco and other vehicles. My loss.
There's a blue Texas Bronco that did so tough stuff at the Stampede two weekends ago. He's coming to the 40th and I'd be surprised if he doesn't do the Hammers. Good luck to all and see ya there.
