How is everyone who is using the zf adapter on the 4r70w mounting their transfer case shifter, I do have twin sticks. Pics would help immensely if anyone has them. I haven't found a vendor who sells something like this, they just suggest I buy the real adapter kit for the 4r70w that includes a new intermediate housing that has the mounting boss in the correct location. If someone made cable shifter for the ford dana 20 that could possibly be my choice.

Did you also source the special seal that you will need to make that part work?

hmm, interesting I thought the only way to get a Dana 20 to bolt to a 4r70W was to buy the AA.

I think that's what Bronco gold is talking about. But instead of using the A/A 4R70W adapter to the D20, using the the ZF adapter to the D20 instead. Because it's less expensive.
It's less expensive because it's missing some relatively important machining time during manufacture, so needs some tweaking and end-user customization to make it work.

Just needs a 7 dollar seal, I have done a few.

I made a J shift work with the 4wd 4r70w. I will find some pictures.

Yes the route I went is less expensive. The reason I went that way is I had everything for the zf5 just never got around to installing it, So since I had a complete donor explorer I went with the auto and pushed the zf back in the corner of shop for possible later use in another bronco.
