When you installed your 4R70w conversion, what was the new length of your rear and front driveshafts? I know how to obtain the measurements myself, but just wanted to have some numbers to compare.

Rear is 32 and front 26. If i had to do it over I would go with 31 in the rear. 3.5 inch lift.

Mine is a 2.5" suspension lift with a 1" body lift.

Body lift makes zero difference to a driveshaft.
But rear pinion angle has a huge influence.
What adaptor was used to mate the transfer case also changes the numbers.

Thank you for the body lift comment....but, everyone already knew that

I used a 6 degree shim for my rear axle and I have the A/A adapter without the clocking ring.

I'm simply asking folks to provide THEIR shaft dimensions and explain what setup they have.

AA adapter, will have to check, i know i used the shorter version which is the awd trans i think. the rwd ends up being longer, resulting in an even shorter drive shaft. i posted this question before but did not get much response. glad you mentioned the adapter.

I purchased my A/A from Tom's (part number 6044). The A/A part number is 50-2704. That kit required me to install a new tail shaft, but I knew I was going to rebuild the 4r70w anyway so that was no big deal.

reason for going shorter?

I think what happened in my case is i measured for and purchased the rear drive shaft before i had installed the seats, roll bar, tailgate (No top) and then i also installed shims to adjust the pinon angle. My original length ordered was around 33" (I think i ordered 32.75 to be exact). after adding the listed parts, etc my driveshaft only has about an inch of spline travel left and i have a feeling if i bottomed everything out i would be in trouble.

So my 32inch measurement which i currently have is accurate however that wasn't what i ordered for a drive shaft and now wish i would have gone with when ordering. hope that makes sense.

I have the standard AA adapter

IIRC, there is a length difference between 2wd vs Awd once the AA adapter is installed. I have had both. My current is an awd and I will measure overall today. Can someone who has a 2wd measure overall length. This would make a difference in the driveshaft length.
