4R70W Install - Measurement needed

I was hoping someone could help me out? Just installed the 4R70W and will be hanging an Atlas II so a custom crossmember is in order.

Does anyone happen to have the elevation dimension at which the tail shaft on the trans should sit between frame rails? That is from top of frame rails to center of trans tail shaft. I'm making the new crossmember and want to be sure I have the angle/elevation of the tail shaft setup right.

I'm running a 1" body lift if that means anything.

The measurement you are looking for is going to be directly related to how much body lift you have and how the atlas fits in between your frame rails. 1" body lift is going to require trimming of the body brace if you are looking to get it up as high as possible. Also a 1" body lift runs the risk of the atlas not fitting directly in the tunnel of the body based on your total drivetrain length. I ended up moving my entire drivetrain forward 1/2" to get the atlas to sit where it needed inside the tunnel. The type of motor mounts you are running makes a difference as well. I personally wouldn't build it directly on some measurements without having the body on to see where it will interfere. If you don't care how low it hangs below the frame rail then we can probably come up with a measurement that will work on most body on situations.

Ouch!! I was hoping not to hear that. Body is off to the painter. I was hoping to get the rolling chassis completed before it returns.

I thought I had this figured out with the BC Bronco crossmember but we found out the hard way it does not work.
