Dose anyone have a pic or two of the 4x2 box installed?
I am thinking of going that way with my 67, but am wondering if it is powerful enough for 36" tires, and the mounting looks like a pain in the ass it being on the inside of the frame rail where my aluminum radiator might be in the way.
Thanks for the help guys, i apreciate all the help, and tips!!

I am not a fan of that steering box. It was used back in the early 90's as it could be found and made to work. Today we know of better ways of putting power steering in a Bronco.

Let me put it this way. I know people who did the conversion back in the 90's. They are taking it off today to put butter stuff on it. I think the 4x4x2 is what he is going to.

I have done the conversion because it was cheap, but am not a huge fan of it. It worked great for the simple fact of getting power steering, but the box being on the inside of the frame (Very tight fit) the box being a good three inches longer than stock, and having to cut and weld the drag link to make it shorter are all drawbacks to it. I would do the 4x4x2 conversion or use one of the bolt on kits from the vendors.

I have it on my Bronco, with an aluminum rad, but it was designed for it. It turns the 33" tires easily with a smaller steering wheel, 3 1/2 turns lock to lock. I went with the Stone Crusher steering linkage, so I had no cutting/welding to get things linked up.

If I had it to do over, I would have probably gone with the 4X4X2 setup.

yeah im one of those people that did it in the 90's, I have had no problems with it, I did rub it a liitle the last wheeling i did(scraped a rock.) There are better options out right now. Here are a couple of very old pics. you can sort of see the mounting bracket required.

Thanks guys, i have made my mind up not to go with this setup. I am looking for just a box. So, i am going to go with a better one than the 4x2.(not bashing a product, just too many mods for a simple box)
thanks all for the help, and the pics
