New exhaust. Max articulation. Just a few punch out items for inspection remaining.

Thank you, Pertronix, for your quality product. The smell of your burning inductive pickup and the resultant cooked ozone gas was stronger than the small raw gas spewing spewing from the Holley 600 and the overheating high torque starter motor. This Bud is for you.

Thank you 5S and company convincing me to throw out those "just-in-case" OEM points and accessories that I had hanging on the hook. We will wait just a few days for the high performance replacement parts from Summit. Garage looks good.

Thank you tow truck driver for giving me a hard time for not leaving the keys in the ignition. Just have a beer. I'm sorry you had to drag my Son's Bronco on to the bed of your tow truck. ;D. Hint, if the vehicle is more than 40 years old and the ignition switch is adjacent to the “Cigar” lighter, than chances are it doesn’t have a locking steering column. If fact, you can even turn the steering wheel without a key!!! For the crooks in this world, just jump the “s” post on the starter solenoid and it might even run (if it doesn’t have a Pertronix ignition).

Thank you Biff for the supplemental parts. In our sane Bronco world, it would have helped. I guess Ryan and I still need a few more quality grease days to chase out the Bronco bugs until final inspection. The neutral safety switch is working flawlessly. I’m sorry that I doubted it when this all happened. I thought the switch contained Ozone.

Life is good, I'm having fun, and it’s all worth it.

.....Well now I know the reason for the sad sounding voice on the 1330 message I found at 2100 last night! I'm sure the tow truck driver just wanted to take that beast for a ride!!

On a good note, I have now seen it live!!! That rig is extra sweet!! It's very close to reliable and the weak parts will be history. You just can't always count on perfection during shakedown

Well Christine is doing everything she can to prevent us to bringing her in for state inspected tomorrow for a fourth time. I’m draining the gas tank right now while I’m typing this, the smallest of tonight’s hurdles.
After 4 hours of trouble shooting the ignition systerm, we discovered that not only was the pertronix 1 fried, but also the coil. And to add, we purchased two Pertronix 2 systems, one for the install, and one as a trail spare, only to find the first one we installed was no good. It looked funny but we paid no attention to it. We installed it, no fire. Checked voltage, good. We installed a new coil, no fire. We installed the second Per 2, then fire. We installed the original coil, no fire. We reinstalled the new coil, then fire. We reinstalled the original Per, no fire. We reinstalled the second Per, then fire. There was a few cuss words, internet searches, electrical checks and jumper wires and runs to the auto parts stores, etc. along the way. Fun stuff. It works now.
Then, -just one more thing. The gas gauge doesn’t work. I was in the middle of sanding the posts on the sending unit and then gas starts dribbling from the posts. WTF. I think the gas tank is the only thing we haven’t replaced yet.

What do you think about al's liner? I'm looking to do the underside and inside of mine and was wondering if you would use it again? I was looking at the raptor brand, it's fairly cheap and looks easy to spray. Does al's go on nice and thick like rhino?

Yes, I'd spray it again. I would like to spray the inside of my 4x4x408 and my rollcage. It's very plastic-like. We sprayed 6 gallons total for the inside and outside, but we did not spray the underside.

4x4x302's first experience with mud and deep water. Not stuck. Stalled out from water. Then drove it out.

4x4x302 called me from home to tell me he had sooooo much fun. I was just glad to see from caller Id that 302 was calling from home!!!. 302 told me he had no problems. He winched someone who then offered him $25, and 302 told him to keep it. Then a Mid 30's gentleman invite 302 to some trail riding around the site and made some friends. And then his buddy made it through "everywhere 302 told him he would make it". I might need to tag along tomorrow to see this comradeship. I told him no trouble, respect, no littering, no abuse. Good reason to skip the yard work and cleaning the pool tomorrow ;D
