The new 5.0 will be a 50 oz. imbalance instead of the EB 28.2 oz. (Ford started using 50 oz. with 302's in about 1980) I don't recall the exact measurements but they are taken across the torque convertor bolts. I think large is about 11" while small is about 10 1/4". If necessary I can go out and measure it. Let me know if you find out you have a small one since I have an almost new Crane 50 oz. flex plate. I put it in when I did my original 5.0 swap which was later replaced with the current 5.8 which uses the 28 oz. instead. The 5.0 was only in it for a couple of months.

If you decide to change to the larger one (if you don't already have it) you need to change the bellhousing, torque convertor, and flex plate so they all match.
