5.5 Lift and rear axel relocation

Starting a small project and going with a 5.5 Lift and thinking about moving the rear axle backwards a few inches.
With all that lift will the rear crossbeam be a trouble?


What is your experience with this?

With that much lift, it might just depend on how much will travel you build into it.
But you will also run into clearance issues with some of the bigger gas tanks, so keep that in mind as you’re deciding how far to move the axle rearward.

notch rear crossmember and notch 23 gallon aftermarket gas tank. 4-link rear with duff swaybar is what we did on Firebronco, 3" suspension lift. cut fenders to clear 37"
