I've seen a few go for $400+. It's in pretty good shape......definitely a pay to play item, as are a few of the 66' parts.

I am pretty sure the seller is well aware of the current Bronco market... ;)

Rare parts cost $ because they are just that, rare. Nothing new about that.

For a guy not doing a correct restoration, a $5 used 76 Bronco mirror or even a free one off an Oldsmobile might make them just as happy. For the guy doing a correct restoration, you gotta have it and would be wiling and often happy to pay to get it.

You never know what someone else is willing to pay for something and how much it means to them. Some years back Caterpillar books started going for crazy prices to collectors. One of my hobbies is restoring old Caterpillars and I have collected a lot of books over the years. Mainly the service manuals and data books on the models I was restoring. Well, it was a hobby, but now I just play with the couple of D2 machines I have left that I restored and haven't sold.

Anyway, I found some Caterpillar performance manuals. It is just a book from Caterpillar that details all the machine performance data for all their models for given years. The early editions have the data on the very early machines from the 30's and 40's. Caterpillar started printing these in 1970. The first editions bring crazy money. I really never got why the book could bring such money. So I found a #3 performance book back in early 2000. I listed it on ebay and sold it for $750 to a guy in Canada. He paid me, I sent him the book in wonderment. He was thrilled as was I.

Here is a 1st edition on ebay now. The craze has subsided somewhat, but still crazy money being asked for a book that just has some data in it on drawbar pull and such. Makes no sense to me, but I wish I had a box of these I could sell.

About 10 years back I heard a story about one of these new in the box going for almost a 1k.

I got a buddy deal and still paid "a lot" for one of these. Like said very difficult to find and needed if you want it right on a roadster

If anyone is looking for a NOS one, I know someone who has one 😎. They are a very hard to find part used, even harder to find one NOS in the box.

The mirror in my 66 looks quite a bit different than the one on eBay.

Pretty sure it's original to the truck but not positive

Anybody care to comment?
