66 factory b markings???

So I just got my 66 u14 frame on rusteration running and working out all the bugs so I can make the April 11th WH event. I noticed some factory B markings...Do the have any meaning? Here a picture of my rust bucket.

Just kidding...I wish!! this is mine with a b marking under the hood and on the pass side radiator support.

They look like inspection marks. Maybe the inspector was named Bob.

Or Blue for the paint guys?
Looks to be grease pencil under the paint to me...

I found this under the door insert on my 66 U13. That was the first time Trey have been removed since they were installed back in 65/66.

Found a 2606 next to the B marking on the radiator support...Now it makes total sense! Or maybe Im going nuts since I one brake spring away from finishing this disaster!

2606 is probably the last 4 digits of your vin number.

Yes. There is at least one member here that worked there in the '70's and his stamp is on some of our EB's even. As was his supervisor's before him using, I believe, the same or a similar stamp.
It wasn't what we're looking at here though, as it was a true stamp with either numbers or letters or both. I've found similar ones on my fenders and under the dash.

I have both a stamp (I think) and hand-written numbers on the back of a '73 Baja Bronco dash panel that I have. Don't remember the details though. Have to look again when I get the chance.

My '68 is-was the same turquoise color but the letter C is written in the same places. Maybe this QC inspector was named Chuck.
