Suggestions for more or better restoration ? Already sanded with 400 grit and buffed with Dremel buffing tips. Think I can do black with felt tip or model paint. Bought chrome paint but wary of that approach. The spots where from small rust spots. Thanks.

Here is the one I did for mine, The chrome shop worked out all the pits before chroming
It cost a lot more than Tom's, but they don't have the rare Product by Ford Motor Company. When it got back from the chrome shop I used Testers model paint to do the black out.

Doesn't have the "Product of Ford Motor Company" logo. Weren't the 66's a one year only thing?

Only the very early Budd body ones had the Product by Ford Motor Co

I'd like to see something backing that up. In my nearly 20 years in the Bronco hobby, a vast majority of the still fairly original '66s I've seen had the "product of Ford Motor Company" horn button. Never heard anyone link them to the Budd bodies before

Just my 2 cents. I have only seen them on the Budd ones. My thoughts are Ford made Budd coach works do that. As far as in writing,,,,show me anything in writing pertaining to the 66. LOL

I'm no expert, but I'm sure a few will respond

Not sure sure what we could find in writing but I've seen a March and a May 66' with the Ford Motor Company horn ring. Both were in not so good condition and the horn ring was in matching not so good condition lol. There's a v8 Arcadian Blue u15 for sale in KC now that has one, but not sure if it was original to the truck but assuming.

IMO...to many out there to be a budd body only item...I have bought so many over the years...I call it my 66hornbuttonitis...I see one, buy it, then compare it to the other and sell the worst...usually for less than what I paid. Currently have one good one...Is the one you have for sale? LOL!

So can anyone recommend a chrome restorer ? Our local place went out several years ago. Say Nashville or Atlanta ?

Knoxville had a quaility chrome restorer ( I had a rear bumper done there about 5 years back). Think the name had Knoxville in it.
