Hi guys,, I have searched here and have not found a clear answer (although close) on my situation. I have a 68 Half Cab in the body shop getting a full work-up and a Magnetic Metallic Grey J7 paint job and while that is getting done, I wanted to get ready for some upgrades in the drivetrain dept. I am receiving a 2011 F150 that was rolled (softly) with 74000 miles on the odometer and I thought that I would take the motor, trans and transfer case with the wiring harness and other related parts for a modernized upgrade. I know that it will take some doing and will needs parts that I am not even thinking about but what else can I use from the donor? Seats? Differentials? Can I shorten the axles and use the same brakes? Any information would be helpful.

You don't want the axle.
The transfer case is too wide for an eb frame.
There is an adapter out there for a dana 20 or the Atlas behind the 6 speed auto though so you are covered there.

But the Coyote and 6 speed auto tranny would be awesome.
If you bought your parts well you'll be fine, but this is still considered a little expensive compared to even an exotic sbf route.
It is what all the cool kids are doing now though...

From reading other builds with the Coyote engine, I believe some fenderwell mods are necessary to clear the wider engine. Might want to check around CB site and find out what body mods need to be done while you're having the body work done. You would hate to have to go back and cut on a new paint job. Even if it is in the engine compartment.
