Starting to look like something finally

Cecjap, can you verify something for me please? On post #17, picture #1 shows the right rear bed corner WO the lower quarter panel. It looks like the lower quarter was NOT welded to the corner support. Was that the case? I have heard that they are not welded from the factory on another post.. The guy welded the taillight housing to the lower quarter a slipped it on and welded the upper qrt to the lower qrt and welded the upper qtr to the taillight housing..

Hopes this makes sense... I'm at that point with my build and just want to verify. Seems if the lower qrt is not connected there it could rattle...

jsfrv6, it’s definitely welded at all 3 contact points, upper quarter, lower quarter, and corner support. I’d say there are at least 10 spot welds to the corner support down the rear.

Lots done in the last week, time to decide color

Well after not much progress through January and February I’ve been getting lots done the last couple months. Trying to pick a color, leaning toward 67 Ford color Clearwater Aqua Poly, after shooting a few colors on my old doors

Can’t go wrong but that gulfstream Aqua is sharp!

It’s hard to resist the urge to just keep replacing rusted parts with new parts, but for me I can live with some patched areas for the sake of expediting the restoration so I can enjoy this decade. Especially when it’s a concealed area and is still structurally sound
