I am new to ClassicBronco. I am shipping a 73 bronco to Charleston SC for the winter to work on it and drive it more regularly as well as keep it out of a freezing barn in Northern UP Michigan I would like some advice on protecting the paint and undercarriage in the salt/beach air environment here. After looking at linseed oil and clear coat I am leaning toward Penetrol Flood after a careful 2 bucket clean and then apply fluid film underneath and use a wand to do the inside of the frame and the rails after cleaning them. The Bronco is my uncle's and he wants me to care for it and try to keep the small dings and dents and scars that show the fun it has seen. I will ship it back in the spring (unless he lets me buy it). I want to keep it as original as I can but prevent crazy rust and oxidation the sea air brings. I have a limited but moderate budget. I would rather not ever paint it. All advice would be appreciated. It arrives in a couple days.
Thanks!
Thanks!
