73 model id

Have a 73 wagon,model u151. Sport badge but has t handle,full carpet,and stripes like the ranger. Also,cloth inlay in seats and door panels. Question is,what is a u151? Can only find 150,152.

U15 = Wagon
the 0, 1, 2, 3 after that refers to the weight rating of the springs.

Looks like the C4 on body I'd means ranger model.Correct?

Hey Mike, welcome! Sounds like yours is a "P" or a "Q" VIN Bronco. Given the '73 registration and the T-shift (does it have a manual trans?) it's probably a transition model.

If it is, pop over to Viperwolf1's thread called something like "72 and '73 owners mind your p's and q's" and post up your information.
I thought I'd read where Rangers were not supposed to have Sport badging from the factory (I thought some did, but was corrected) but maybe yours being a first-year Ranger, it's got some anomalies.

Thanks everyone. VIN U15glq66082 model U151. Auto,302,PS.
Grandfather bought new 12\72. Replaced the 66 with 289 he gave me for my first car.

Wasn't smart enough to keep the 66.. Traded in a year or so later for a 72 grand Torino sport.Just like the one in the movie.
