I think there is one size that's the most common, but from what I've seen with old Fords you pretty much have to open it up to see for sure.
Too many can have been swapped around from different vehicles to be sure. Not even sure if all Broncos had the same size from the factory over all the years!

About the only thing you can be sure of is that you don't have the largest (3.25" I think?) size. Those were only, from what I remember, on the heavy duty nodular iron cases. But those would be marked with the obvious "N" in the center web area.
There may have been some heavy duty truck or big muscle car carriers not marked with an N that still had the big size, but don't think so.

That leaves two possible sizes I think.
Do you know yours is the original 3rd member for the Bronco? If so then maybe someone here can narrow it down by year or model. Never seen a chart though.

Good luck.

There was a huge chart at one time that had every rear diff. But you need to know the axle code from the axle (not the data plate). A 4-digit code, usually with "w" in it. AND you guarantee the third member is actually stock.

I find the Bronco usually has the smaller of the carrier bearings (regardless of the axle bearings). But I won't guarantee that until you take the third member out and measure what you have. Then you really know.
