Not sure I've ever seen a switch lock like this before OM. But it seems like we should have heard of this more often.
Surprised that something got into it, that all of your spraying and banging hasn't dislodged yet.

What about this though... Remove the nut on the center stud holding the Black w/green accessory wire, and the whole strain-relief part of the wire connector. Pull the wire connector off too, and see if that stud will move in and out at all.
At this point you aren't really worried about buggering the switch anyway, so you can even give that thing a good tug and smack or three.
While you're messing with the stud, fiddle with the key and see if anything loosens up.

Good luck.

Since the key is in place, you might get lucky by just drilling a new pinhole in the correct location for the pin to line up with the housing. It should be in about the 4 o'clock position relative to the bezel.

Not sure that would work but it seems that the pin merely locks the cylinder to the housing so they can be rotated together while the key is what actually releases the cylinder.

Something is going to happen today. Either I'll make the key come out, cut the key off and drill the rest of it out, cut as much of the cylinder as I can, or cut the dash to get it out. Or maybe install a pushbutton ignition system. But, somethings going to happen.

That Bronco is so lucky you bought it and are taking the time and effort to de-stank it. It's great seeing the progress, keep forging ahead and thanks for taking us along.

If you just so happen to have an ultrasonic cleaner drop the key cylinder in it for a while. Then graphite lube it before reinstall. Might want to take it to a lock smith and have new keys cut for it so your not reusing old worn keys to cut new keys.

Thanks. The key cylinder is fine, works great and is fairly new (no old worn out keys). The problem is the ignition switch, which I already ordered. ;D
