I am putting the 435 dana 20 adapter together, and when i put the two pieces of the adapter together they are not tight. The smaller part with the bearing and gear will spin inside the larger housing part. Anyone else seen this? AA says once all is bolted to the trans and tranny it will work fine, i am not sure and I dont have my dana 20 back from the shop yet so wont know for a week or so. looking for peace of mind i guess, thanks.

the piece on the inside is the spud shaft, and bearing, at least from the description. the spud shaft will spin, and I am not sure if the other part will or not, but once all bolted together it should be fine.

the spud shaft and bearing press into an aluminum cone looking part and then that part of the adapter fits into the larger housing part. the two aluminum adapter parts spin inside one another if that makes more sense.

I just bought the same set up and it looks like the bearing on the spud shaft does not serve a purpose cuz there is not a small enough I.D. on the adapter.
Im interested to see what comes of this cuz im stumped.
