As the title says, what are you guys doing for any lines like tranny cooling or brake lines that seem to be fairly close to your headers? Is there a good product that I could wrap the lines for four inches or so?

A shield is the best bet because it lets air pass between the items plus it reflects heat directly. If you look at OEM where they try to protect something it is usually a metal shield, sometimes foil faced.

The sleeve are the greatest for plug protection for sure.

I agree with the heat shield as a first choice of protection.

Insulation will slow down the heat transfer, but if you drive for an hour or 2, heat WILL get through. Then what happens? The wrap keeps the heat IN.

That's why I put the wrap on the EXHAUST, followed by shields between the exhaust & the sensitive parts.
