So, what are you guys using for the rad brackets on your after market radiators. I thought it would not be that big of a diff from my 4 core to my 3 row alum. I mean it seems like the 3 row rad fits with the 4 core brackets but everything is just a bit off. how did you guys modify your existing brackets? if that is the route you went.

There are 3 core and 4 core brackets. I have heard the rubber insulators are more forgiving than the poly urethane.

Which radiator are you using? With ours, it's "typically" a matter of radiusing the edge of the mounts that is closest to the tank/core seam.
The little "ridges" that fit into the insulators are usually fine, but it's the steel part that needs the trimming to clear the welded area of the radiator.

Not sure what's needed on others.

I think it is the champion 3 row, if not, close enough to not be able to tell the difference. so what you are saying is reduce the bracket part that is closet to the inside or what? but the top also seems off do you have to trim all the brackets the same way?

On ours, it's the outside edge of the bracket usually. Unfortunately too, whether the inconsistency is with the radiators or the Broncos (not like that would ever happen!;) ) some get away with just a quick trim, while others have to trim off quite a bit of the mounts.

It's often both the bottom and the top "clamp" parts, but is pretty straightforward.
Here's a pic of one that was taken just in the last week or so.

He's got a replacement aftermarket core support and the Ron Davis radiator and only had to trim one edge of each mount slightly. One of our own Broncos with all of it's original body parts had to be trimmed quite a bit.
You can see how close the shroud is to the inside of the mount too. He's planning to trim that a tiny bit for more clearance. Even though it's stainless against aluminum, it's nice to have some gappage between any dissimilar metals.
Just so you can say you did...

I used an aluminum rad from Toms. It fit the mounts fine, however the lower tank on driver side had to be modified by cutting and welding
