Alright well I figured I would start my own build thread to track the progress I have made on my 1969 bronco.

To start off the bronco has been in my family for longer than I have been alive. My dad took it all apart to have it painted then never put it back together because my brother and I were born and he didn't have the time. So It pretty much sat on the side of our house under a sap dripping pine tree and rotted until I gained interest at about age 8 or so.

Progress on it has been incredibly slow but it is starting to pick up being I have my license now and will actually be able to drive it.

So far I have torn apart the engine and cleaned it up/ rebuilt whatever was needed. I also replaced the rear gas tank and all the lines. I have the side tank ready but I am waiting to replace my floor pans before it goes in. I have also stripped the old and broken dana 30 up front and replaced it with a dana 44. I installed disk brakes on the front along with a power booster. I have also stripped out all of the wiring and am currently working on re-building the old harness. I took the dash out and stripped everything off it so i can fill the unused holes and repaint it all one color.

To get it on the road I still need to finish wiring it, build steering linkage, replace the floorboards, build a roll cage, and complete the other small odds and ends needed.

I e-mailed Mr. Incredible most of my progress pictures so hopefully they will be up soon. Thanks again for the help!

Looking good, and glad you are at least that close to driving it. If you need/want you can sen me the picture's and I'll post them for you. Hopefully one year we could both have are Bronco's at SOB, or even you uncle can get his repaired in the next year or two and the three of us can roll together?

j.j. are you still planning on setting up your cd player in the tuffy box? that would be cool, at least it would keep the theives from seeing it on your dash and being tempted.;) are you going to be changing the rest of the dash or just clean it up and repaint?
it is all looking really good. by the way what did those seats come out of?

I am not sure what i am going to do with a cd player at this point. I talked to my uncle about the dash today and We are going to cut out the ash tray and speaker grill and patch all the holes so it is nice and blank. The only things that will be on it are the heater control switches, lights, wipers, ignition, and a bunch of toggle switches above the ignition switch. The glove box will be in the normal spot too. But other than that i don' t know what will happen of it. It will be nice to have it all one color though!
