My new years resolution this year was to finally get my Bronco back up and running dependably for the first time in two years. After spending time each of the last two weekends chasing down a bunch of small problematic items, I was pretty sure that this weekend was going to be the weekend that I finally got to pull off of the driveway. Oddly enough, I was woken up on Saturday morning by a guy at my door asking me if I was interested in selling the Bronco that had been sitting in the same place on my driveway "forever." I politely told the guy no and was even more determined to drive it. So after three hours of tinkering, I got everything adjusted, and went for a spin around the block. Satisfied that I had everything fixed to the point I could drive it, I had my roommate help me take the top off and headed to the gas station to fill up my badly deflated tires. While filling them up, I talked to a guy there for twenty minutes about my old Bronco. I don't know what I've missed more during the last two years: driving the Bronco, or the comments I get every time I stop somewhere in it. ;)

On the somewhat negative side, during the last two years, I have come here every day on my lunch hour, got in on some mass buys, bought some used parts out of the classifieds, and now have a pile of parts that will take me the better part of a month's worth of weekends to put on. I guess I didn't see the point of putting new parts on if I couldn't go for a drive afterwards. Looks like I've got some catching up to do. %) The funny thing is that a lot of people have a frame off done in two years, and I've got the same crappy looking bronco :p

Keep the faith, no bronco is crappy, some just have aquired love. ;D At least you have the parts for it. A lot of us here are still trying to aquire the parts.

I think I must be some sort of child when it comes to my bronco, because when I get a new part or find a new mod. I usually rush out to put it on or start taking measurments. I got my new steering box last year during my finals and it was way early, I think it was on back order but I ended up getting it 2 weeks ahead of schedule. I spent all night or up until my finals at 9AM putting it in. That's just me I guess.
