Another member had used a 4" PVC pipe cap to house a second speaker. I took a set of JVC and put one in the conventional spot and one above and to the right of the steering column.

Being very green I have been using a lot of Velcro so I can try something out, make a mistake and easily fix it. I did drill a hole in the side of the pvc and the rim of the speaker to mount and for the wire. Then I put Velcro under the cowl and then on the back of the 4" cap. The wires run over the column and then to the center of the dash, behind the heater and under the mat to the bench seat.

I also ran power the old winch switch from a PO and a ground from the dash via the same route. Under the seat is a Velcro mounted Lanzar Heritage amp with built in Bluetooth. It is super loud and I only have it set at about 50% gain. I put a jumper wire on the the power to start unit so I don't need a head unit.

I flick on the winch switch, connect my phone to Bluetooth and turn on gps and tunes. No cutting or drilling the truck and it's hidden.

To do it better than I you could run the power and speakers down different paths to avoid any interference (the road noise is loud so it doesn't stand out and also you could put some thicker washers in front of the in dash speakers because they can flex and bump into the dash.

Approx total cost:. Amp $110, speakers $35, Velcro $15, wire $10 ~ $160

Total time excluding prep ~ 3 hours
