I know it's been asked multiple times but, here it goes....
I've looked through every wiring harness thread I could find but I still have a few questions. I've pretty much decided I'll either be going with the centech or painless, I know, who would have guessed. Anyways, I really like some of the features of the painless but, I'd rather save the money for something else if the centech has what I need. This is going on a mostly stock rig...302, original tranny, ect. My main question is, does the centech have the wires for a tach and H.E.I. dizzy like the painless does? Also, how many aux circuits does the centech have (need at least one for my daylighters)? Thanks in advance, I hope to be ordering soon so it'll be waiting for me. Obviously, any and all additional suggestions/pros and cons are welcome.

It has been a couple of years since I installed my Centech. I like it. There was a tach wire. I don,t rember the H.E.I. dizzy. Nor how many circuits. A good choice for a mostly stock Bronco.

Go with Painless

I installed a painless harness this past winter. The directions were perfect and no issues at all installing. I highly recommend their product.
Price is indeed an issue. I searched mulitple places and found complete painless kits for as much as $1100 and as low as $599. Painless also issues coupons from time to time on their website.....found one for $100. Total kit cost me $499.
Highly recommend getting the version with the end attachments already clipped on. Or if you want to save the few dollars (like I did) be sure and buy the recommended crimping tool. I didn't buy the crimping tool and it added hours to the project. Total project time was 20 hours.....about 3-4 of that was crimping ends onto wires.
Also note the painless kit does not come with the blinker wiring extension that goes up the sterring column. Recommend buying that as well.
You will love having a new harness regardless of what you choose. I have now have working blinkers and a horn for the first time in 20 years!

OK - I will tell you if you can wait until July JBG will have a new harness that will be worth checking out! I won't go into details but I will say I am planning to use this on my Bronco when it comes out.

I installed a Centech harness in 2004 and it has been great. I don't think you would be disappointed with either one.

My builder has built over 100 complete rigs and when I asked him he said Centech so that's what we did.

I've installed Centech in my Bronco, and have done a few Painless in hot rods, and I'd suggest the Centech for what your looking for. The Centech is very straight forward and includes the extra wiring your looking for. Painless is also good but cost 2X as much, but if your building an all out custom rig it would be a good choice, but again there are other harnesses out there that are cheap and will accomplish the same thing... I'd add a separate harness and relay for your lights, but that's just me.

I would suggest you buy a roll or two of electrical harness wrap and buy the tools to make weather pack connections. When I installed my harness I soldered in all of the original ford connections for the lights and turn signals, and then wrapped my harness for a stock look. Many experienced builders have asked me where I found a NOS wiring harness. My goal was for a stock looking build...

Thanks for all the replies, with the help of them and reading the installation manual again I've decided to go with the centech. I'll also be doing a headlight relay harness and replacing my voltage regulator. Might even to a new alternator, we'll see about that though. Again, thanks for the help.
