Don't ask me why it took so long, as it has been sitting here for 10 months. I guess sometimes you have other more pressing things to do.

I made a post last year about where and what type of fuel pressure regulator to install. See this thread.

http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88564&highlight=fuel+pressure+regulator

Well latelly I have been having problems with my rear fuel bowl, or the needle and seat, causing the rear bowl to over flow. I replaced the rear needle and seat, and it worked ok for a week or two, but started doing it again.

I relocated my coil to the passenger side, made a bracket for the regulator, and mounted it up today. I can allready tell by a quick 15-20 minute drive that the carb is running better. I don't smell gas any more, and it pulls smoother and better from idle right up to 6 grand. Also the stumble I would get after idling for a while is gone.

I know it isn't mounted in the best spot, I made sure it is isolated from the heat with some phenolic spacers I made. The bracket I made sits about 1/2 inch away from the head, with two phenolic spacers, and the bracket that comes with the regulator is also isolated from the heat with two 1/4 inch phenolic spacers.

Here are the pics
In the 3rd picture you can also see the grounding block I installed a few weeks ago

I had a gift certificate from Sumitt that was about to expire, so I ordered some Anti Bling heat protection, which now cover the braided stainless lines, and my AN fittings, it should also help keep the fuel as cool as possible.

I got some Thermo Tec Thermo-Shield Tape that can withstand temps up to 2000 degrees F and wrapped both sides of the bracket, and part of the Regulator.

I also got some Thermo Tec Heat Sleeves that cover the braided fuel lines. Since I had to run the fuel line that goes to the fuel pump under the steering box, I have the heat sleeve under the steering box, also from the fuel pump to the regulator, and from the regulator to the carb.

In the week since I first installed the regulator, the rear fuel bowl is maintaning the propper level. It doesn't smell like gas anymore, and seems to run a little smoother.

I also got two vertical mounting tabs for my wire seperators, so the two front seperators keep the spark plug wires away from the coil, and Fuel Pressure Regulator.
