Well, after about 6 months of searching I finally brought home my firstborn son, a 1971 EB. It has a rebuilt 302, C4 auto, dana 44 (front), ford 9" (rear), aluminum radiator, duff 3.5" suspension w/ dual shocks at all 4 corners, updated interior, and a few other goodies. Even still, I have a long wish list and am looking for a place that can help me build the EB I've always wanted. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bring it to my house. I weld for beer!

I have a 74 that I am putting through a serious rebuild. I can't do everything but I can do a lot. It may save you some cash.

Kinda depends on what you want to get done... I vote for do what you can yourself.

If you need work done you cant do yourself... give Sam a call @ wildChild... he is a great guy, does great work, and charges a fair price.. he is leaving SoCal soon, so you better hurry.

Where in SD are you?
You should be sure to come to the Shelter Island Shindig OCT 23rd. There will be lots of locals there and you can get some good advice. Might even find someone to do some work for a little $$ or parts/beer/whatever.

Thanks for everyone's help and advice. I definitely think that this site is gonna be a great resource.

As for the shin-dig on the island...save me some space on the grill. See ya' there.

Matt kind of beat me to the punch on everything I was going to say. I think youll find a lot of people willing to help you out in san diego. Show us and tell us what all you want to do at the BBQ. Sam from Wild Child is usually there (I say usually but this is really only the 3rd annual) so you cac hopefully talk to him about it too. He is the only person I let work on the bronco other than me and the buddies.

Also, where in Texas are you from?

I plan on attending but not sure if my Bronco will be done by then. Either way I will see you there.

Thanks for everyone's willingness to help. It's much appreciated.

66horse, I'm from Austin. Why? Are you from Texas too?

Yep, lived in Austin for 5 years. Grew up in Fort Worth though. San Diego is great but damn I miss Austin.
