Anyone else have trouble finding replacement axle u-joints?

So I tore in to the front end yesterday so I could replace a bad axle u-joint. I had already visited Advanced Auto Parts and bought a couple of u-joints for the project. Well, once I got in there, I found that the u-joint they sold me was too big. I went back up to the store and after about 15 minutes of looking at different joints it was determined that they did not have one that matched. I went to O-Reilly's and they ordered one, but I'm not yet sure it will be right either as they didn't seem too sure.

I'm fairly certain my 67 have the D30 front axle. Is there a better local source for u-joints in KC? Or online?

Thanks,
Ron

Don't use parts store U-joints. They are snap-o-matic junk.
Go to inland truck parts (Olathe or overland park, I forget which) and get some spicer U-joints. Cost more but won't snap and take out the ears of the axle as likely as the cheap parts store versions will. That bargin U-joint ain't a bargin when you need an axle shaft.

X2 - The chain auto parts stores u-joints suck. Try to go to a REAL auto parts store and get Spicer u-joints if you can.
