Anyone ever use the Summit Racing Universal wiring harness?

I bought the E-Z Wiring universal kit for $100 less than that (Summit's ad). I haven't installed it yet but have a friend who used one on a 79 Bronco and a Willys Jeep that said it was great. Not plug and play like the Centech and Painless tho. There are others on this board who can tell you about all of these, I'm sure they'll chime in soon.

Thx!

I know a EB specific harness would be great ideally but if I can get one for $500+ less then may give it a shot...

The instruction manual .pdf file on summit's website is exactly like the instruction booklet that came with my EZ21 kit from Ebay years ago. Gotta be a rebadge job by summit.

This being said I run that harness and have no complaints other than the fuse block is hard to mount. It requires some thought to hook everything up but it's decent quality for what you get.

How is the quality of the wire? I have been scared that a cheeper harness will have a lower grade jacket that may get hard and brittle down the road?

The quality of the wire seems to be fine; the insulation actually looks a bit thicker than what you might find in other places.

I have the Centech wiring but that looks pretty decent. Granted you gotta hook/figure alot of stuff out but that shouldn't be too hard considering that everything is color coded. Good Luck with whatever you choose.

This definitely woulda been a bit harder to install but for the savings I think I woulda taken a chance on it or the EZ harness!

Wires are marked every 5 inches. Pretty complete kit but without terminals and cut to length.

Why buy that when TBP just came out w a harness for 250 custom mad for your year bronco. Takes them 9 to 10 days to make but comes with every wire marked every few " and most connectors are already in place for hookups. Unlike centech or painless.
I'm gonna get one soon, but I would like some feedback

I have that harness sitting in my shop, its been there for about 6 years now, planned on using it before but that was when i was looking into creature comforts in the bronco, now i plan on taking the build a different direction. But the wire quality its self is good, may end up still using it for the build, just don't need 18 circuits

Just looked for this on TBP site and I'm not seeing anything like what you described. Got a link for that?
