Just installed a new 13 gal tank from BG. and now the damn thing leaks from around the sending unit. There is a round piece of plastic seal (not manipulated during install) now its leaking, guess I will be running off the auxillary tank and sending it back to BG. Anyone else had this prob?

I bought mine directly from MTS who I think might be the supplier for the Bronco vendors. I added blue RTV to both surfaces on both sides of the o-ring gasket seats as I assembled it.

I don't have any leaks at the sender, but I did have trouble getting the tank into the frame w/o a body lift. I seems that the filler neck is too low. I had to force it up to the rests under the body to get the strap on.

Yeah, a gasket sealant like brewdude said. Once you get your tank emptied out, used isophyhl alcohol from the pharmacy area at walmart to clean the gas and oily residue very well first. Clean the tank side, the o-ring, and the backside of the seading unit with the alcohol so the RTV can stick well.

My poly main from Duff was giving me some probs around the sending unit too. I cut a piece of rubber gasket sheet to size and rvt'd both sides. Then reinstalled. Don't go without just because that. i am glad you found this site before you dropped your tank again. Good luck.
