Anyone have a 1968 owners manual?

Can someone look in the back of their manual and see if there is a GVW chart. I'm trying to get my GVW changed on my NH registration. They have it at 5240lb! I need to try and generate some sort of documentation . I did a VIN trace and Ford's report doesn't give GVW.

That info should be in the owner's manual. The GVWR is based on the model (U150, 151, 152, 153). U150 is 4300lb, U151 is 4500lb, U152 is 4900lb, U153 is 4450lb. '76 and '77 GVWR is slightly higher.

I'm only concerned with 1968. The maximum GVW in '68 was 3900lb. I have a '73 manual that has the info, but I need to know if the '68 manual has it too.
I don't believe it does, because my glovebox data tag does not have GVW imprinted on it. Ford did not like to list GVW before 1973 from what I've been told.

If you can tell me where in the manual this info would be, I would be happy to scan the page and post it. In my quick flip through the original '68 manual I have, the only thing I see about weights is on page 46 where they list the fluid capacities. They list two rear axles - one at 2780lbs and a second one at 3300lbs

This is the page from the '73 manual.

And the back side of the '73 order sheet

According to page 30 of my 1968 Ford Bronco owners manual:

Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight (Pounds) 3900
This is for U-130, U-140 & U-150

Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight (Pounds) 4700
This is for U-132, U-142 & U-152 (GVW package includes 3300 lb Rear Axle)

I would scan the page but haven't loaded all my software yet on this computer build

Next question, does anyone have an original 1968 manual they'd like to part with?

What was the main reason for wanting to change it svo? Was there a tax difference, or some other sort of requirements for that higher level of GVWR?
Or was it just the general accuracy-principal of the thing?
