Put me down for one to I have a standard 6 point Smitty built cage. Also what about fitting over mirrors?
I'm making them under the assumption that the mirrors will be mounted at the bottom of the windshield like the Jeep mirrors I have on mine. (See my buildup thread to see where mine are) For door mounted mirrors it may require folding them in. For lower profile mirrors it should go over the top of them.

Side mirrors? What side mirrors? They're fastened to the doors sitting in the back of the garage....which is why this style of cover is what I am loking for to keep the water/dirt/dust/cats/etc out when the door are off and the top is off.

Prototype is ready

Okay everyone. Here are some pictures of the prototype. Keep in mind that I'm right in the middle of prep work to paint my bronco so it isn't it's prettiest. The first 3 pictures are with the front fit down flush with the hood. The last 2 pics show it above the mirror brackets. The entire front edge is reinforced with the strap which I believe will allow it to be transported with it in place. I will need to put mine on the trailer and take it down the freeway first to see though. It uses 6 straps with snap buckles to make it easy to put it on and take it off. It should fit over a soft top (unverified) for those that want to add more protection during the winter. Once I get some feedback I'll try to get everything set up to launch the mass buy.

hell, that works! perfect for my tube doors too!

i'm definitely in for one once you get one for a regular cage (fast back style).

above the mirrors, is that a style option, or is that just how you mounted it?

Those 2 pics are just to show the fit with it on that way. I made it so it is a universal fit that has enough allowance to fit a variety of different setups.

SaddleUp,

What material are you using. I'm trying to figure out what to use to make a bikini top to fit the family cage instead of the short one I have now. I am worried that the sunbrella fabric won't hold up well. Are you using something stronger? Does it come in black?

Thanks again,
Glenn

The material I'm using is called Sea-Port. My impression from working with it so far is that it seems to be as durable as the Sunbrella which I already know holds up well. Either one should work for what you want though. It does come in black plus a few other colors. If your interested send me a PM with how many yards you want and I'll check on a price for you on both. It's 60" wide.

I've begun the Mass Buy now. There should be an official post showing up in the Mass Buys soon. In the meantime you can jump straight over to the web page I have set up for this as it contains all of the same information.

Early Bronco Trail Covers

Note: I just set everything up over there so please be patient if by some chance there are any problems with processing the purchase. Be sure to let me know right away though so I can get it corrected.

One more request: I need to see if someone can forward a copy of their purchase confirmation to the address on the web page. I need to check it to see if the formatting is messed up. (Sentences that don't end, etc.) It should have all of the right info but I think it needs to be formatted better to be readable.
