MY BRONCO HAS 3.5 SUSPENSION LIFT AND A 2" BODY, WITH 4.11 GEARS . I MOSTLY DRIVE ON THE STREET. NOW I HAVE 35" BFG MUD TIRES ON 8" RIMS. iT IS QUITE A ROUGH RIDE FOR MY 5 YEAR OLD.I AM THINKING OF DOWNSIZING TO 33 X 10.5 X 15 ALL TERRAINS . I REALLY THINK 33 X 11.5 X 15 WOULD BE THE BEST BUT I CAN NOT FIND ANY TIRES THAT SIZE. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HEAR SOME FEEDBACK TO HELP WITH MY DECISION.

I think you only have choices of 33 1250's or 33 950's in the BFG line of ATs. I think most of the rough ride is from the suspension, especially if it is stock.

I WAS LOOKING AT BFG WEBSITE THEY DO HAVE 33 X 10.5 X 15 ALL TERRAINS. MY SUSPENSION IS A WILD HORSES LIFT. I HAVE DUAL SHOCKS ON ALL FOUR WHEELS. THE SHOCKS ARE WH BRAND TOO.

Im running 15x10 with 33x12.5's on mine with a 3.5 lift no body lift, and I think it rides great. Rubs on the when totally maxed out turning to the left (not to the right?). Never rubbed when suspension is maxed out.

i just went outside and removed the two extra rear shocks . went for a drive around the hood and i can already tell a difference. that was the cheapest fix of all time. thanks for the advice.

Ive got the 33x10.5x15 on mine. I am running 7 inch wide 5 slot mags. I like the narrower tire. It gives it a sort of vintage pizza cutter look without being too pizza cutter. Besides they are lighter, easier to move around, and a little cheaper than the wider tires.

I like the 33x12.5 look on an 8" wheel, you can check my gallery to see what they look like with a 3.5 suspension lift.

I run 33x10.50's with less lift I really like the way they look and they dont rub the radius arms like 12.50's do. I also suggest getting rid of the dual shocks on all corners and you might want to experiment with tire pressure as it can also affect the ride.

Pretty sure that's what I got on my Bronco. Any wider and I will absolutely have to put power steering on it; as it is, when wheeling with the tires aired down and with any traction, you've got to really torque on the steering wheel.

Ditch 4 shocks and you should be fine. I took off 2 shocks up front and I forgot that I was in the bronco!!! Such a difference!!!!

33x10.5 BFG MTs on 15x8.5 aluminum slots, 3 1/2" lift & uncut. They rub. Iffen the wheels were only 7.5" wide, I think there would be no problem.

I thought dual shocks helped w/ wheel hop when spinning in sand or loose terrain. I was told that was the ticket, to have dual shocks all the way around, but that was in the early 90s but maybe things have changed. What is the best combo for 50-50 offroad/street driving w/ 33's? I have a 2.5 lift w/ Rancho front springs and stock rear springs with add a leaf and 8 rancho 5000s.

In my thinking, going down to 33s from 35s would actually make the ride a bit harsher due to you now having less tire sidewall to absorb some of the bumps.

What tire pressure are you running? If you have the pressure at the max rating for the tire that will make your ride a rougher.

I went from 31" ATs at about 40 psi to 35" XTerrains at 23 psi. Running the bigger tire at lower pressure smoothed out the ride tremendously. (This was with the same suspension)

When I used to drive a TJ I ran 33x12.5s in the summer and 33x10.5s in the winter. The skinny tires helped a lot on icy/snow roads but they also made the jeep feel a little "tippier" so I'd stay away from the skinnys and stick with the more stable 12.5s.

Hope this helps.

thanks for all the info. i took off the two extra rear shocks and i can tell a difference. i think i will take off two of the front ones and check that out as well.I was reading an article a while back.it has been a really long time but i am thinking it was from duffs. It stated that the best upgrade you can do an EB is to put on duel shocks.they said that they have never seen a rolled bronco with dual shocks.is there any truth to this? why do people go duel at all?

Yikes! Not an expert, but I hang around here a lot and have heard that Rancho springs are stiff, add a leafs make your chiropracter happy, and 5000s (Even just 4) are the spawn of the devil. Start by ditching 4 shocks. Save some dough and get a new kit from any of the vendors. You will be much happier. I've got Duffs 3.5 ultimate lift and I'm happy for the moment. I ran 8 shocks for a long time and was super surprised at how much better running with 4 was.
