Anyone running a full explorer gauge cluster?

I've been searching and not finding much. I'm still doing sheet metal repair but in my off time I'm researching all the other options. I'm about to start the rewrite process on my 2000 explorer 5.0 harness. Got my computer box from escape to incorporate into the firewall.

Starting to think about the truck harness for all the rest. Anyone have a good suggestion on a complete harness for the truck. While doing that I also need to figure my gauges. I don't like the stock gauge cluster so I'm looking for ideas. I think I want to incorporate a stock cluster from some other vehicle so the explorer is what came to mind. I can't really find any good info. Just people modding the stock cluster

Won't be much out there because it's such a huge undertaking for most of us. I've always wanted to make a late-model cluster fit an EB, but as easy as I find wiring and simple mechanical stuff (where if in difficulty you can follow instructions;)) I've always found a dash re-do rather daunting.

I think someone put an older Ranger dash in about 20 years ago or so, and it worked out great. But don't remember seeing or hearing of anyone doing anything more updated than that.

Good luck though. You may be writing the book on it yourself! But it'd be a cool project for sure. Bronco instrument clusters do leave a lot to be desired.

From what I've seen most people just make a blank dash with aftermarket gauges.
It could be hard to find room for a late model cluster in the unique Bronco dash.

I plan on waiting for the stage when my roll bar goes in and seeing what room I have but I have no desire to use any of my original dash. And was hoping the cross bar on the roll maybe incorporated into the new dash. Seems like I'd can some more room behind it that way. Only one way to find out!

I have seen a late model cluster installed once. Mounted under the dash above the trans tunnel. Too far from the road to really look at it. If there is a worse place than stock this would be it. But it is about the only place on a Bronco dash that it has a chance of working.
