I was running a true-trac in my front D44 and it broke. I run a mildly built 302 with 33x12.50s, and it broke wheeling in mud and ice. I'm not sure what the specific mode of failure was, but I've torn it down and found a large piece of forged steel that flew out of the carrier into the diff. Luckily I stopped before it trashed the entire axle. I really liked the behavior of the system, and it worked well with heel-toe braking in a zero-torque situation for one wheel, but I'm going to a Powr-Lok Now. Let me know if you want pictures.
