I used the Jeg's distributor for my 331 but it was the 2 wire as I used the timing control from the Fitech. It is a very well made unit and is made in the US. The only difference was the material that the cap was made of. It allowed the interference from the magnetic pickup to escape and raised havoc with the ECU. I replaced the cap with a MSD cap and everything is well. All in all they are a nice distributor.

I have the gear off the factory dizzy. Running the 2150 carb. I think I’ll order this guy and swap on the factory gear. What can go wrong?;)

Whoa-that looks like a great idea. How long have you been running it?

Since 2016.... Just plain works. Originally I used it with my carburetor but since then I changed over to Fitec. Still doing its job.

I have the exact same unit in my Windsor.
Has worked flawlessly for about 4 or 5 years now. It replaced my Mallory Unilite.

Why did you swap out the Unilite? Just curious. MSD owns them now right?

I own a similar HEI distributer I purchased back in 2005. The only thing I have done is replace the cap..mine did melt down on the coil side, but only after 14 years of use.

The Unilite was 25 years old and only mechanical advance. I also did away with my MSD 6A box at the same time.
I wanted vacuum advance.
The "Jegs vacuum advance ready to run distributor" specs were really good and it was on sale.
