This post more likely belongs in parts wanted but hoping it gets a bit more eyeballs on it here,

I have a Foxbody EFI and AOD and someplace along the line the PO didn't install the clip that "locks" the plunger after adjustment. If anybody has one and and can part with it, please DM me.

Edit: Added another pic to show it better.

So it looks like you are not looking for the grommet that keeps the cable in the throttle body arm...
You are looking for the clip that controls the cable adjustment. If so, I have never seen those sold separately...
Maybe a transmission shop would be a good place to start, a take-off cable perhaps? I would guess that any AOD equipped vehicle of that vintage in a wreaking yard would work... Sorry for no simple answers.

904 and Bowsher, thanks for replies. 904, yes, looking for the metal clip and not the grommet that fails. I've been wrecking yarding but FoxBodys seeming to be getting rarer to find and most seem picked over. Crown Vics seems to be a slightly different design of cable that doesn't have the clip.

Bowsher, yeah Ford doesn't make the cable anymore and repops are a different design so no luck there.

Appreciate the feedback, looks like I might have to fab one out of spring steel or something. Def don't want the adjustment to slip.

Knowing how Ford built stuff, look at anything of that era. Not just mustangs. Trucks, Tempo, T-bird, anything.

Jackpot, I found maybe one of the last early 90s Crown Vic in a JY. That generation of vehicles are aging out of JYs fast.

$3.25 for the entire plastic end of the TV cable.
