Auto Meter Fuel Gauge

Ok, I've received my new Ford compatible Auto Meter fuel gauge. I've wired it all up. (each sending unit to the manual switch on the dash on the outside posts with the middle post on the switch to the sending unit post on the gauge. My ground looks to be sufficient, but the gauge is a little screwy. Both tanks are full. When I switch it to the left, it jumps to over the full mark, when I switch it to the right, it drops straight to under empty. I have both brand new sending units. Sounds like a ground problem?

Might want to start by measuring resistance to ground at each sender. That would either eliminate or identify them as the problem.

And though I'm not sure just by reading how the switch was hooked, I remember the switch being a little screwy sometimes. Test it to make sure that all the posts you're using are doing something appropriate.
