Need some advice, been punting on fixing this. My aux gas tank has a small leak from the fill tube at the tank. I put T style hose clamp on this, and it still leaked. The problem stems from my bad floor installation, the front driver floor pan is installed an inch too high or so…this causes the fill tube to come into gas tank at greater angle than it should and unable to clamp down fully secure.
Curious how you’d fix? Fixing the floor seems like a BIG job that I’m not up for right now. Is it too unwise to essentially shim the gas tank between floor panel and aux tank, and extend the gas tank bracket that has the hold down clips? Just thinking how to Mcgyver this…. Unfortunately someone took the time to replace my floor pans but didn’t do it right…
