I decided to figure out what was going on with my aux fuel tank. It had only been sending about a gallon or two of fuel before choking out and needing to switch tanks, so I pulled it. To my surprise, it sounded like there was about 2 pounds of pea gravel floating in the tank. Am I correct in assuming this tank is a replacement since it is plastic?
Either way, I am trying to figure out where all this particulate came from! Jealous none bronco owner? Dumb PO, or is this supposed to be there? I am assuming that the only metal is in the filler tube, which I an including a photo of.
Cleaning tips are appreciated
The layer of rust gunk wasnt bonded to the filler tube connection, and slide right off.
