Hey guys and gals..... we (Jackholeracer, 70_Steve) are doing our weekly Wednesday run out to Lake Pleasant after work (7/22/2014).... typically out there between 4-5pm and stay till just after dark (9:30ish)....

As you've seen we've had a good time out there the last couple of weeks. We are bringing the grill out with us tomorrow and would love some more peeps! So come awn out and enjoy fun in the sun with us!

I've got burgers, buns and beer ready for me to grab when I get home. S'posed to be a little warm here today (114°) so what better place to be than splashing around in the water with friends.

EDIT: Now I find out that it's National Hot Dog Day!!! And I've got burgers to take to the lake!!! This is a major faux pas...:-[

AZ lakes are usually perfect come September/October. The air is cooling so it isn't too bad outside, but the water is still warm from a summer of solar heating. As of last weekend the thermocline was down at about 40', being about 80° above that mark.

Yes I stand corrected... the 23rd!

I can make all kinds of excuses to not have fun and concede to the heat....but short hump to Lake Pleasant and the water's great, scenery phenomenal and company EPIC!

Sounds like a great time. Just bought a house up in Tucson and lookin' forward to makin' a few road trips up to the land of lakes ;D you guy call home.

And another good time was had by all!! The drive to the lake in the Broncos with the 110°-115° heat was a challenge! But well worth it! We had a larger crowd than we've had the last couple weeks, with a few non-Bronco friends showing up. And kudos to everyone there for sticking out the evening, with all the thunderstorms in the area! But the t-storms made for a beautiful sunset.

My apologies for not taking even one picture last night!! But I suspect motoman will be here shortly to share.
