Back up light switch install

I have a 72 Bronco. It has a 3spd and a Duff shifter. I have also installed a Centech wiring harness. What do I need to install a switch for the backup lights? The harness includes the wiring but I don't have a switch.

Not with the manual trans. Manual trans has the backup light switch on the column. The Hurst shifter has a bracket that moves the switch to the floor shifter. I would assume the duff shifter should too.

Mine didn't have anything when I bought it. I wonder if one from a Hurst would fit?

I mounted the stock switch to the shifter brace that attaches to the rear of the transfer case. The shifter arm that attaches to the reverse first gear linkage pushes the plunger when in reverse. Fairly simple mod to bracket, drilled a couple holes, extended wiring. Sorry no pics taken during install.

The Duff shifter is a Hurst shifter, so I don't see why it wouldn't fit.

I did what Doyle did though. Took my old stock switch off of the steering column and used a bit of steel bracket to mount it to the new shifter.
Extended the stock wires, which you won't have to do because of the new harness, and it worked great for years.

I just found a spring loaded micro switch and fastened it to the shifter housing with a self tapping screw. The switch has about a 1 inch arm that contacts the reverse lever in the housing
