Saw a nice Baja Bronco (well it had a nice paint job, assume it's a Baja) running around the paddock at Laguna Seca today. Anyone here?

Probably the Lantz II Baja.
Did you see Big Oly too?

I did not, is it supposed to be here? Heading back to the track this morning.
By the way, Seth from Gateway brought his 1966 #1 Bronco. It's being shown in the Ford display area.

Cool.
Saw a picture of Big Oly at the Quail event yesterday, so it's in the area…

he really gets around with that thing these days! Looks great and would like to check it out sometime.
Hate to miss anything at Laguna, but these days it's hard not to!

Love that the new owners are driving it. Pretty profound they are driving it as much as they do. Jay Leno-esque!

Yes, that is Neil Lantz's old Baja Bronco. A lot of vintage mods including rear wiper, third front wiper, cut corners, tons of trail run plaques, 351, etc. It has been for sale a couple
times in the last few years, another one I kinda wish I would have bought…

Is the rear wiper anything special? I have an original hardtop off my 72 that has the sliding side windows and a rear wiper. I thought they were both just junkyard stuff until I read more about them.

There was a guy up here near Napa that was modifying Broncos back in the late 70s and early 80s and did that wiper mod as one of his "things". I've seen 2 so far. and both apparently by the same guy.

In about '78 or '79 I test drove a pristine Blue '76 model up for sale for a friend. Guy lived over in the Almaden area of San Jose and worked at Ford. He made the 3-wiper setup for his, with the third one driven off of a rod linked to the second one.
He also had fabricated some super clean mounts for rubber feet that he mounted to the C-pillars that put outward pressure on the rear liftgate to quiet it down.

Was even at the time one of the nicest EB's I'd driven. Still one of the top ones in my experience.
Don't remember exactly what else he'd done, but he had a nice little list of things he'd done. Sure wish my friend had bought it!

Mine had different motors than I have seen before and a rear wiper so who knows. It came from northern CA.

DirtDonk- that sounds like right era and area. House has some info as he owns a Stroppe Kit Baja that was modified by the same guy and owned by the same owner as the '73 Baja Andyp posted up from Monterey last week.
