Got to the front bumper, Cactus Smasher and tow points today. Primer just for now to keep the rust away...

Looks great on there. Where did the bolt-on shackle brackets come from again?
They look pretty stout.

Thanks. They make some pretty hi-techie looking stuff in the heavy-metal department. I get e-mails from them now and then but could not place it.
They have those shackles that have the fancy loop protector thingies on them, right?

They did not come with protectors, but I think you can buy them separately...I was thinking of using sliced rubber hose and maybe short bungee cords to keep them from rattling (and driving me nuts!)...

Fabricated my spare tire mount...I am using one of my spare Warn full float spindles and hub assemblies to attach the spare.

Painted my fuel cell enclosure and mounted the fuel cell. Got some paint on my battery box and rear backing plates as well...

Took my transmission / transfer over to a friend who is good with Hurst shifters for the final adjustments, he adjusted the linkage and stops, so it is ready for install...

Block is decked, bored and honed. Picked up my windshield frame from the sandblaster. Modified it so electric wipers fit. Got it in primer. Mocked up my steering shaft and universals...

Finalizing my steering column mount, started setting up power brake booster and master cylinder, got brake and clutch pedals swinging, installed windshield frame with wipers to check fit, boxed in between coil towers and shock hoops...
