Balanced stroker kit

If I was wanting to buy a balanced stroker kit from a vendor, but was building something wierd like a Bronco with their odd flywheels and Explorer harmonic balancer.

Would those need to be mailed to the company for the balance process?

Or do they just balance the rods, crank, and pistons?

Depends. You need to talk with the stroker venders, not us about this.

To that I bought a stroker kit once and took the new balanced with the engine damper and an Explorer damper to the machine shop that was doing the machine work on the block. Had them measure up the balanced with engine damper and set the Explorer to the same balance. That was 15+ years ago. It was a backwards way of doing it.

Thanks, I'm gonna call them in the morning.

I saw the balanced kits came with a flywheel and wasn't sure with a Bronco flywheel how they would do.

I was trying to get buy with not visiting a machine shop but for bore

If it comes with a flywheel you just need to make sure it’s 164 tooth version.
Preferably with the right bolt pattern for your intended clutch.
Or multiple bolt patterns, as is fairly common with flywheels today.

The damper should be an explorer damper balanced with the rest of the engine.
The exception to that might be if you get a standard bronco damper and use the explorer adapter pulley with it. And I would let them balance both together I would think.

But as said, check with them.
