On the other side of the coin, I was absolutely shocked for how little this one sold for (and that they listed it as No Reserve):

A friend of mine built this truck years ago - and it has incredible bones: totally rust free, super low original miles on the truck (probably less than 30K), and he transplanted a 5.0, NV4500 and an Atlas in it - bulletproof powertrain. Still had the Dana 30 and 4 wheel drums but those are easily upgraded. Perhaps because it's a half cab or a little spartan - who knows. Then the next day, a truck with no top but with a Coyote sells for over $100K more.

Wow, that little truck is screaming for some full widths, bumpers, and 37's. Then you have the perfect little crawler/driver Bronco for half price, be a shame to put that solid drivetrain to waste.

That jump seat cup holder tailgate is kinda spiffy!
It is kind of cool until you start getting practical and realize that for the one or two times you may use it you lose all of that space all of the time. But if you were practical, this is not the one you would buy anyway! I have a nicer build on my 66 awaiting paint and interior if anyone wants to finish and double their money! :)

That is insane! It’s close to new restomod prices from the reputable build shop. The write up has so many unknowns….

- VIN tag removed, matches the title but does it match the frame??

- The 289ci V8 was “reportedly” bored and stroke… for $190k the seller better be dam sure, not “reportedly”

- The clutch is “said to have been” replaced… again, for $190k the seller better be dam sure it’s been replaced.

Yup, no doubt about it. Every ying has a yang, or something like that.

That's standard BaT CYA legalese...

Yikes! This was a nice home first restoration but the paint quality and details did not say 84k.

and the prep work did not help the finished product....
What prep work? ;) That close up of the dash followed by the other close ups just say "my first paint job". Sadly it looks like a lot of work was done but they should have farmed out what they were not good at.

I couldn't understand what you guys were saying about the paint until I looked at the up-close image of the left tail light. Whoa! On the other hand you could drive the thing and not worry about the paint!
